Secure Code Review in UAE
What Is Secure Code Review?
Secure code review is the systematic examination of application source code to identify security vulnerabilities, insecure patterns and missing controls. It combines manual review by security engineers who understand the application’s logic with static application security testing (SAST) tools tuned to cut false positives.
Code review reaches what runtime testing cannot: authorisation logic across every path, cryptographic implementation, hardcoded secrets, unsafe deserialisation, race conditions and vulnerable dependency usage. It also pinpoints the exact line to fix, which shortens remediation dramatically.
For UAE fintechs, government platforms and software vendors, code review supports CBUAE and NESA secure development expectations, PCI DSS requirement 6 and ISO 27001:2022 secure coding controls.
Code Challenges We Solve
Authorisation logic scattered everywhere
Access checks implemented inconsistently across controllers, so some paths are simply unprotected.
Hardcoded secrets and keys
Credentials, API keys and encryption keys committed to repositories and container images.
Weak or home-made cryptography
Custom encryption, ECB mode, static IVs and weak hashing of passwords and tokens.
Vulnerable and unmanaged dependencies
Outdated libraries with known CVEs and no process for tracking or updating them.
Noisy SAST that developers ignore
Thousands of unvalidated findings mean the tool gets switched off or bypassed.
Our Code Review Services
Manual Secure Code Review
Expert line-by-line review of authentication, authorisation, crypto, input handling and business logic.
SAST Implementation & Tuning
Deploy and tune SonarQube, Checkmarx, Semgrep, Snyk or GitHub Advanced Security to cut false positives.

Combined Code Review & Pentest
White box testing that pairs code insight with runtime exploitation for maximum coverage.
Our Review Process
1. Scope & Access
Agree repositories, components, languages and the risk areas to prioritise.
2. Automate & Triage
Run tuned SAST and SCA, then validate findings to remove false positives.
3. Manual Review
Focused expert review of security-critical code paths and logic.
4. Report & Enable
Line-referenced findings, fix guidance, developer debrief and pipeline recommendations.
Why Choose Skytech for Code Review?
Skytech Cyber Cloud’s reviewers are application security engineers with OSWE and development backgrounds across Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, PHP, Go and mobile languages. We review code for banks, fintechs, government platforms and SaaS vendors across the UAE and GCC under strict confidentiality.
- Manual plus automated: tools for breadth, humans for the logic flaws that matter.
- Line-level findings: exact file, line and fix, so remediation is fast.
- Confidentiality assured: NDAs, secure handling and on-premises review where required.
- Capability building: we leave your team with better tooling and secure coding knowledge.

Code Review FAQs
Do we need code review if we already do penetration testing?
They find different things. Penetration testing proves what is exploitable from outside; code review finds flaws in paths a tester may never reach, such as rarely used features, and pinpoints the exact line to fix. High-risk applications benefit from both.
Which languages and frameworks do you review?
Java and Spring, C# and .NET, Python and Django, Node.js, PHP and Laravel, Go, Ruby on Rails, Swift, Kotlin, React and Angular, plus infrastructure as code in Terraform, Bicep and Kubernetes manifests.
How do you handle our source code securely?
Under NDA, with code accessed through your repository with read-only credentials or reviewed on your premises or VDI where policy requires. We do not retain code after the engagement unless you ask us to.
How long does a secure code review take?
A focused review of security-critical components takes 5 to 10 days. A full review of a large application typically takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on size and language.
Can you integrate security into our CI/CD pipeline?
Yes. We implement and tune SAST, SCA and secrets scanning with sensible failure thresholds, pre-commit hooks and developer feedback loops so security checks help rather than block delivery.
Does code review satisfy PCI DSS requirement 6?
Yes. PCI DSS requires secure development practices and code review for custom applications handling cardholder data. Our review process and reporting are designed to evidence that requirement.
