Compromise Assessment in UAE
What Is a Compromise Assessment?
A compromise assessment is a focused, time-boxed investigation that hunts for evidence of existing or historical attacker activity across an environment: malware, backdoors, persistence mechanisms, credential abuse, lateral movement and data exfiltration. Unlike a vulnerability scan, it looks for what has already happened, not what could.
Attackers in the Middle East often remain undetected for months. Mergers, regulatory audits, suspicious activity, a breach at a supplier or simply the absence of monitoring are common triggers for UAE organisations to commission an assessment. CBUAE, DESC and NESA increasingly expect this kind of assurance.
Our assessments use EDR telemetry, log analysis, threat intelligence and forensic techniques, delivered by the same team that handles live incident response.
Assurance Challenges We Solve
Suspicious signs, no answers
Odd logins, unexpected outbound traffic or a tip-off from a partner, but no capability to investigate.
No historical monitoring
Years without EDR or SIEM mean nobody knows what may have happened.
Mergers and acquisitions
You are about to connect a newly acquired company whose security history is unknown.
Supplier or peer breaches
A vendor or competitor was breached using a technique that could have hit you too.
Board and regulator assurance
Leadership wants independent confirmation that the environment is clean.

Why Choose Skytech for Compromise Assessment?
Skytech Cyber Cloud’s threat hunters and forensic analysts hold GCFA, GCIH and GNFA certifications and bring experience from live incidents across the UAE and GCC, so they know exactly what regional attackers leave behind. We have assessed banks, government entities, healthcare groups and enterprises before audits, acquisitions and after suspected intrusions.
- Fast, low-impact: lightweight collection with no disruption to operations.
- Regionally informed: hunts driven by intelligence on Middle East threat actors.
- Straight to response: if we find something, the same team contains it.
- Audit-ready output: reports suitable for boards, regulators and due diligence.

Compromise Assessment FAQs
How is a compromise assessment different from a penetration test?
A penetration test simulates an attacker to find vulnerabilities you could be exploited through. A compromise assessment looks for evidence that an attacker has already exploited you. Organisations typically need both.
How long does a compromise assessment take?
Most assessments take 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of endpoints and data sources. Initial high-priority findings are reported within the first week.
Will the assessment disrupt our operations?
No. We use lightweight collectors or your existing EDR and log platforms, with no downtime and minimal performance impact.
What happens if you find an active attacker?
We immediately move into incident response: containing the threat, preserving evidence and coordinating eradication and recovery with your team, under the terms agreed at the start of the engagement.
When should we commission a compromise assessment?
After suspicious activity, before connecting an acquired company, after a supplier breach, before a regulatory audit or certification, or periodically as assurance when continuous monitoring has not been in place.
Do you cover Microsoft 365 and cloud environments?
Yes. Cloud and Microsoft 365 compromise reviews are a core part of our assessments, covering mailbox rules, OAuth abuse, token theft and suspicious Azure or AWS activity.
