Web Application Security Testing in UAE
What Is Web Application Penetration Testing?
Web application penetration testing is a controlled, manual assessment of a web application to find vulnerabilities an attacker could exploit: broken access control, injection, authentication flaws, insecure deserialisation, server-side request forgery and business logic abuse.
It follows recognised methodologies such as the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide and the OWASP Top 10, combining tool-assisted discovery with hands-on exploitation. Automated scanners find perhaps a third of real issues; the flaws that cause breaches, such as a user changing an ID in a request to read another customer’s data, require a human tester.
UAE organisations need this for NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR, CBUAE and PCI DSS compliance, and increasingly to satisfy enterprise customers during vendor due diligence.
Web App Challenges We Solve
Broken access control
Users can reach other customers’ records or admin functions by changing an ID, a role value or a URL.
Business logic abuse
Discount, payment, booking and workflow logic can be manipulated in ways no scanner recognises.
Authentication and session flaws
Weak password reset, token handling, MFA bypass and session fixation open the front door.
Injection and data exposure
SQL injection, SSRF and verbose errors expose databases, internal services and cloud metadata.
Findings without context
Developers receive long scanner reports with no risk ranking, proof or practical remediation steps.

Why Choose Skytech for Web App Testing?
Skytech Cyber Cloud’s application testers hold OSCP, OSWE and CREST credentials and have tested banking portals, government services, healthcare platforms, e-commerce sites and SaaS products across the UAE and GCC.
- Manual-first: we exploit, chain and prove findings rather than forwarding scanner output.
- Developer-friendly reports: reproduction steps, request and response evidence and code-level guidance.
- Free retest included: remediation verified and the report updated at no extra cost.
- Compliance evidence: accepted by NESA, DESC ISR, CBUAE, PCI DSS QSAs and ISO 27001 auditors.

Web App Testing FAQs
How long does a web application penetration test take?
A typical business application takes 5 to 10 working days of testing plus reporting. Small sites can be covered in 3 days, while large platforms with many roles and integrations may need 3 to 4 weeks.
Do you test production or staging environments?
Either. Staging that mirrors production is ideal for destructive test cases, while production testing gives the truest picture. We agree the environment, timing and safety limits before starting.
Do you need source code or credentials?
Credentials for each user role significantly improve coverage and are strongly recommended. Source code is optional and enables white box testing, which we often combine with secure code review.
What standards do you follow?
The OWASP Web Security Testing Guide and OWASP Top 10, alongside PTES and NIST SP 800-115, with reporting mapped to CVSS and to the regulatory frameworks that apply to you.
Will testing damage our data or take the site down?
No. We avoid destructive and denial-of-service techniques unless you specifically request them, test with agreed accounts and keep an escalation contact available throughout.
Does this satisfy PCI DSS requirement 11.4?
Yes. Our web application testing, reporting and retesting are designed to meet PCI DSS v4 penetration testing requirements, and our reports are regularly accepted by QSAs in the UAE.
