Managed Vulnerability Scanning in UAE
Scanning is easy. Deciding which of 40,000 findings to fix this week, getting an engineering team to do it, and proving it was done — that is the hard part, and it is where most programmes stall.
We run scanning as a managed service: scheduled scans, validated findings, risk-based priorities and remediation tracked to closure.
What Is Managed Vulnerability Scanning?
Managed vulnerability scanning is a service that runs scheduled authenticated and unauthenticated scans across your estate, validates and deduplicates findings, prioritises them by real exploitability and business impact, and tracks remediation to verified closure with audit-ready evidence.
Three things separate a working programme from a scanner licence. Authenticated scanning, because credential-less scans miss most of what matters. False-positive validation, because engineering teams stop cooperating after the second phantom finding. And exploitation-led prioritisation — what attackers are using right now, not what scores 9.8 in theory.
Coverage must also follow the estate: servers, endpoints, network devices, cloud workloads, containers and web applications, including the assets nobody put in the CMDB.
We operate Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 and Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management, with UAE-aligned reporting for NESA, DESC ISR, ADHICS, CBUAE and PCI DSS.
Scanning Problems We Solve
Unactionable Finding Volume
Tens of thousands of raw findings with no prioritisation, so nothing gets fixed and the report gets ignored.
Credential-less Scans
Unauthenticated scanning that misses most installed software vulnerabilities and reports false confidence.
Incomplete Asset Coverage
Scans running against a stale asset list, leaving newly built and shadow systems unscanned indefinitely.
No Remediation Follow-Through
Findings reported to IT with no ownership, no SLA and no verification that the fix actually landed.
Audit Evidence Gaps
No documented scan cadence, exception register or remediation record when the auditor asks for it.
What the Service Includes
Scheduled Scanning
Regular authenticated and unauthenticated scans across internal, external, cloud and container estates.
Finding Validation
False positives removed and duplicates consolidated before anything reaches your engineering teams.
Risk-Based Prioritisation
Ranking by active exploitation, asset criticality and exposure — not raw CVSS score alone.
Remediation Tracking
Owners assigned, SLAs applied, progress chased and fixes verified by rescan rather than assertion.
Exception Management
Documented risk acceptance with compensating controls and review dates for what cannot be patched.
Compliance Reporting
Scan cadence, coverage, SLA performance and exception evidence in UAE audit-ready format.
Our Delivery Process
1. Asset & Scope Definition
We establish the true asset inventory, including cloud and internet-facing systems often missing from the CMDB.
2. Scan Design
Credentialed scanning configured with appropriate windows, throttling and agent coverage for sensitive systems.
3. Baseline & Triage
A first full cycle produces the validated baseline and an achievable first remediation wave.
4. Operate
Scheduled scanning, validation, prioritisation, remediation chasing and rescan verification.
5. Report & Improve
Monthly reporting on coverage, SLA performance and risk reduction trend, with cadence tuned over time.
Why Cybersecurity MEA for Vulnerability Scanning
We report what you should fix this week. Validated, prioritised and owned — because a 400-page scan export has never caused a patch to be applied.
Asset coverage is handled honestly. External attack surface monitoring finds the internet-facing systems your inventory missed, and managed cloud security covers workloads that appear and disappear within a scan cycle.
Where a finding needs proving, our penetration testing team demonstrates exploitability — which is usually what unblocks a stalled remediation argument with an application owner.

Managed Vulnerability Scanning FAQs
What is managed vulnerability scanning?
It is a service that runs scheduled authenticated and unauthenticated scans across your estate, validates and deduplicates the findings, prioritises them by real exploitability and asset criticality, and tracks remediation to verified closure with audit-ready evidence.
How often should we scan?
Monthly authenticated scanning is a reasonable baseline for internal systems, with weekly or continuous coverage for internet-facing assets. Several UAE frameworks expect at least quarterly, and PCI DSS environments have their own cadence requirements. We set it by exposure and obligation.
Why does authenticated scanning matter?
Unauthenticated scans see only what a service exposes externally, missing the majority of installed-software vulnerabilities. Credentialed scanning reads actual patch levels and configuration, which both finds far more and produces far fewer false positives.
Is scanning disruptive to production systems?
Properly configured, no. We use agreed windows, throttling and agent-based scanning for sensitive systems, and treat fragile legacy and OT assets with particular care — agent or passive methods rather than active probing.
How is this different from penetration testing?
Scanning finds known vulnerabilities broadly and repeatedly. Penetration testing proves what can actually be exploited and chained, using human skill, at a point in time. You need both: scanning for coverage and cadence, testing for depth and proof.
Does this satisfy NESA or PCI DSS scanning requirements?
It supports them. The service provides documented scan cadence, coverage evidence, remediation records and a maintained exception register — the evidence those frameworks ask for. For PCI DSS, external ASV scanning requirements are handled as a defined part of scope.
