Managed EDR & XDR in UAE
EDR stops being useful the moment nobody is watching it. Detections pile up, policies stay in audit mode, and the agent that would have blocked ransomware was never switched out of monitoring.
We operate your endpoint and extended detection platform around the clock — policy, monitoring, hunting and containment.
What Is Managed EDR & XDR?
Managed EDR and XDR is the operation of your endpoint and extended detection platform by an external team — covering agent deployment and health, policy configuration, 24/7 detection monitoring, threat hunting, and authorised remote containment of compromised hosts and accounts.
EDR covers endpoints: laptops, servers and virtual machines. XDR extends the same detection and response model across identity, email, cloud workloads and network telemetry, correlating signals that look harmless alone and alarming together — an impossible travel sign-in, then a mailbox rule, then an unusual process on a server.
The operational work is relentless and specific. Agents fall offline. New machine builds miss the deployment profile. Policies need exclusions for legitimate line-of-business software without opening a hole. Detections need tuning against your admin tooling.
We run all of it on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne and other leading platforms for UAE organisations.
EDR Problems We Solve
Agents Stuck in Audit Mode
Platforms deployed in monitoring-only and never promoted to blocking, because nobody owned the risk of enforcing.
Coverage Gaps
Servers, contractor laptops, VDI and newly built machines without agents — exactly where intrusions tend to start.
Unactioned Detections
High-severity alerts sitting unread over a weekend while an intrusion moves laterally through the estate.
Over-Broad Exclusions
Whole drives excluded to fix a performance complaint, creating a permanent blind spot nobody revisits.
No Hunting Capability
Nobody is looking for the activity that generates no alert, which is most of what a capable attacker does.
What the Service Includes
Agent Deployment & Health
Rollout support plus continuous monitoring of agent coverage, version and health, with gaps chased to closure.
Policy Management
Protection policies configured and progressively hardened, with exclusions reviewed rather than permanently inherited.
24/7 Detection Monitoring
Round-the-clock triage and investigation of endpoint and XDR detections by named analysts.
Threat Hunting
Regular hypothesis-driven hunts across endpoint telemetry for activity that generated no alert.
Remote Containment
Authorised host isolation, process termination, file quarantine and account disable within SLA.
Tuning & Reporting
Ongoing detection tuning plus monthly reporting on coverage, detections, response times and policy posture.
Our Delivery Process
1. Estate Review
We establish the true device inventory — including servers, VDI and unmanaged machines — and current agent coverage.
2. Policy Baseline
Protection policies designed for your environment, with a staged path from audit to full blocking.
3. Deployment & Validation
Agents rolled out and validated, with exclusion review and performance checks on sensitive workloads.
4. Operate & Hunt
24/7 monitoring, triage, authorised containment and scheduled threat hunting in steady state.
5. Harden Continuously
Monthly reviews drive policy hardening, exclusion cleanup and detection improvements as coverage matures.
Why Cybersecurity MEA for Managed EDR
We move platforms out of audit mode. Most engagements start with an EDR that is deployed but not enforcing, and the first win is a staged, tested path to blocking without breaking line-of-business applications.
For Microsoft estates we run the full Defender suite and Defender XDR, correlating endpoint signals with identity and email telemetry rather than treating endpoints in isolation.
Confirmed compromise moves straight to our DFIR team, with forensic artefacts already collected from the endpoint platform — which is usually the difference between a one-day investigation and a one-week one.

Managed EDR & XDR FAQs
What is managed EDR?
Managed EDR is the operation of your endpoint detection and response platform by an external team — agent deployment and health, policy configuration, 24/7 detection monitoring, threat hunting and authorised remote containment of compromised machines.
What is the difference between EDR and XDR?
EDR covers endpoints only. XDR extends the same detection and response model across identity, email, cloud and network telemetry, correlating weak signals from several sources into one incident. XDR catches attack paths that endpoint-only tooling misses entirely.
Which EDR platforms do you manage?
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne and other leading platforms. We operate what you already license; where you are choosing, we will give you a straight comparison for your estate rather than a preferred-vendor recommendation.
Will you isolate a machine without asking us?
Only within the authority you grant in advance. Most UAE clients authorise immediate isolation for confirmed malicious activity on standard endpoints, with a call-first rule for critical servers. Whatever you choose is documented in the runbook before go-live.
Can you take over an EDR platform we already deployed?
Yes, and it is a common starting point. We review coverage, policy posture and exclusions, then fix what is weak — typically moving the platform from monitoring to enforcing and cleaning up over-broad exclusions inherited from the original rollout.
Does managed EDR replace antivirus?
Modern EDR platforms include next-generation antivirus, so they replace legacy AV rather than running alongside it. Running two protection engines on the same endpoint causes conflicts and performance problems, so migration is part of the onboarding plan.
