Security Monitoring & Threat Protection in UAE
What Is Security Monitoring?
Security monitoring is the continuous collection, correlation and analysis of security events from across your environment to detect suspicious activity, policy violations and attacks. Threat protection adds preventive controls and automated blocking so known threats are stopped before they cause harm.
UAE frameworks make monitoring mandatory: NESA/UAE IA and DESC ISR require centralised logging and analysis, CBUAE expects continuous monitoring for financial institutions, PCI DSS requires daily log review and ISO 27001:2022 adds a dedicated monitoring control. Building this in-house needs a SIEM, content engineering and 24/7 staff.
Our monitoring service, delivered from our SOC in Dubai, covers everything from log onboarding to analyst triage and compliance reporting.
Monitoring Challenges We Solve
Logs collected, never analysed
A SIEM exists for compliance but nobody reviews what it finds.
Blind spots
Cloud, SaaS, OT and remote endpoints are outside monitoring scope.
Noisy, outdated rules
Detection content was never tuned, so analysts chase false positives.
Audit findings
Regulators find gaps in log retention, coverage and review evidence.
No path from alert to action
Monitoring stops at an email notification with no response process behind it.

Security Monitoring FAQs
What is the difference between security monitoring and MDR?
Security monitoring detects and escalates suspicious activity to your team. MDR adds proactive threat hunting and hands-on response by our analysts. Monitoring suits organisations with an internal response capability; MDR suits those who want end-to-end coverage.
How long must logs be retained in the UAE?
Requirements vary by framework: NESA/UAE IA and DESC ISR typically expect at least 12 months, CBUAE and PCI DSS require 12 months with 3 months immediately available, and some sector rules go further. We configure retention to the strictest requirement that applies to you.
Can you monitor our cloud and SaaS environments?
Yes. We onboard Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce and other SaaS platforms alongside on-premises infrastructure and OT networks.
Do you use our SIEM or yours?
Either. We can monitor from your existing Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or Elastic deployment, or provide a fully managed SIEM as part of the service.
How quickly can monitoring start?
Core log sources can be onboarded and monitored within two to three weeks, with full coverage and tuned detections typically in place within six to eight weeks.
What reports will we receive?
Monthly service reports covering incidents, trends, coverage and recommendations, executive dashboards and audit-ready evidence packs for your regulators and certification bodies.
