Wireless Security Testing in UAE
What Is Wireless Security Testing?
Wireless security testing assesses the Wi-Fi networks at your offices, branches, warehouses and sites for weaknesses that let an attacker gain network access or intercept traffic from outside your physical perimeter. It covers encryption and authentication strength, 802.1X and certificate validation, guest network segregation, rogue and evil-twin access points and the wireless clients themselves.
Wireless is often the weakest link in otherwise well-defended organisations, particularly in the UAE where shared buildings, multi-tenant towers and large retail and hospitality sites put attackers within range of corporate networks.
NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR and PCI DSS all require wireless security controls and regular testing, including scanning for unauthorised access points.
Wireless Challenges We Solve
Weak or legacy encryption
WPA2-PSK with a shared password that has not changed in years, or legacy protocols still enabled.
Evil twin and rogue access points
Attackers impersonate your SSID to capture credentials, or staff plug in unauthorised access points.
Poor 802.1X certificate validation
Clients accept any certificate, so enterprise credentials can be harvested with a fake radius server.
Guest networks that are not segregated
Guest Wi-Fi can reach internal systems, printers or management interfaces.
IoT and OT wireless exposure
Cameras, sensors, badge readers and industrial devices on poorly isolated wireless segments.

Our Wireless Testing Process
1. Scope & Site Planning
Agree sites, SSIDs in scope, access arrangements and testing windows.
2. Survey & Discover
On-site reconnaissance of visible networks, signal leakage and unauthorised devices.
3. Attack
Authentication attacks, evil twin deployment and post-access network reachability testing.
4. Report & Retest
Findings per site, remediation plan and verification retesting.
Why Choose Skytech for Wireless Testing?
Skytech Cyber Cloud’s testers run on-site wireless assessments across the UAE with specialist hardware and hold OSCP and wireless security credentials. We have tested corporate headquarters, bank branches, hospitals, hotels, warehouses and industrial sites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates.
- On-site across the UAE: physical surveys at every location in scope, not remote guesswork.
- Beyond the SSID: we test what an attacker reaches after joining, which is where the real risk sits.
- IoT and OT aware: careful assessment of operational wireless without disrupting it.
- Practical fixes: configuration guidance and WPA3 and segmentation migration support.

Wireless Testing FAQs
Is WPA3 enough to secure our wireless network?
WPA3 is a significant improvement and we recommend migrating, but it does not fix weak 802.1X certificate validation, poor segmentation, rogue access points or vulnerable clients. Testing verifies the whole picture, not just the encryption standard.
Does testing require someone on site?
Yes. Wireless testing is inherently physical, so our testers attend each site in scope. We can cover multiple UAE locations in a single engagement and coordinate access with your facilities team.
How long does a wireless assessment take?
A single office typically takes 2 to 3 days including the survey and post-access testing. Multi-site engagements are scoped per location, usually one to two days each.
Will testing disrupt our Wi-Fi?
We avoid deauthentication floods and other disruptive techniques during business hours unless agreed, and schedule any higher-impact tests for quiet windows with your team informed.
Do you test Bluetooth and IoT wireless?
Yes, where in scope. We assess Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee and proprietary protocols used by badge readers, cameras, sensors and industrial equipment.
Does PCI DSS require wireless testing?
PCI DSS requires quarterly scanning for unauthorised wireless access points and testing of wireless networks in the cardholder data environment. Our assessments provide the evidence QSAs expect.
