Red Teaming Services in UAE

A penetration test asks what is vulnerable. A red team asks whether anyone would notice. Skytech Cyber Cloud runs goal-based adversary simulations for organisations in Dubai and across the UAE, combining phishing, exploitation, physical intrusion and stealthy lateral movement to test your people, processes and detection capability against a realistic attacker.

What Is Red Teaming?

Red teaming is a goal-oriented adversary simulation. Rather than enumerating every vulnerability, a red team picks objectives that would hurt the business, such as accessing the payment system, exfiltrating customer data or gaining domain control, and pursues them using whatever combination of technical, physical and social techniques a real threat actor would use, while avoiding detection.

Where a penetration test is announced and broad, a red team is covert and deep. It measures not just vulnerability but detection and response: did the SOC see it, how fast, and did the response actually stop the attack?

Our red team exercises are mapped to MITRE ATT&CK and emulate the threat groups most active against UAE and GCC organisations in your sector.

Red Team Challenges We Solve

Our Red Team Services

Goal-Based Red Team Engagements

Multi-week covert operations targeting agreed crown-jewel objectives.

Threat Intelligence-Led Scenarios

Emulation of the specific threat groups and TTPs targeting your sector in the UAE and GCC.

Initial Access Operations

Spear phishing, vishing, malicious documents, credential harvesting and exposed service exploitation.

Physical Intrusion Testing

Tailgating, badge cloning, reception bypass and access to restricted areas and network ports.

Stealth Lateral Movement & Persistence

Living-off-the-land techniques and custom tooling designed to evade EDR and SIEM detection.

Assumed Breach Scenarios

Start from a compromised workstation or contractor account to focus on internal detection.

Detection & Response Measurement

Timeline of what your SOC detected, missed and how quickly it responded at each stage.

Purple Team Replay & Uplift

Collaborative replay of the attack with your defenders to close detection gaps.

Our Red Team Process

1. Objectives & Rules

Agree crown-jewel objectives, legal authorisation, white cell contacts and safety limits.

2. Reconnaissance

Open-source intelligence on people, technology, suppliers and physical sites.

3. Execute

Covert multi-vector operations pursuing objectives while testing detection.

4. Debrief & Uplift

Full attack narrative, detection timeline, executive briefing and purple team replay.

Why Choose Skytech for Red Teaming?

Skytech Cyber Cloud’s red team operators hold OSEP, CRTO and OSCP credentials and work alongside our own SOC, so we understand both sides of the exercise. We have run red team engagements for financial institutions, government-linked entities and large enterprises across the UAE and GCC.

  • Realistic emulation: scenarios based on threat actors actually targeting your sector in the region.
  • Safe and authorised: rigorous rules of engagement, legal authorisation letters and a white cell throughout.
  • Measures defence, not just offence: detection timelines that show where your SOC needs work.
  • Improvement built in: purple team replay and detection engineering support after the exercise.

Red Teaming FAQs

Penetration testing is broad, announced and aims to find as many vulnerabilities as possible in a defined scope. Red teaming is narrow, covert and goal-based: it pursues specific objectives using any realistic technique and measures whether your detection and response actually work.

Typically 4 to 8 weeks including reconnaissance, execution and reporting. Shorter scenario-based exercises of 2 to 3 weeks are available for organisations testing red teaming for the first time.

Only a small white cell, usually the CISO and one or two trusted contacts, so that detection and response are genuinely tested. The white cell can stop the exercise at any point and verifies our activity if staff report it.

Yes, when properly governed. We operate under written authorisation and rules of engagement, avoid destructive actions, and maintain white cell contact so any risk to operations is escalated immediately.

If you do not yet have EDR, logging and a monitoring capability, a penetration test or purple team exercise usually delivers more value first. Red teaming is most useful once you have defences worth testing.

Threat-led testing is increasingly expected by financial regulators and supports NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR and CBUAE expectations around testing incident detection and response capability. We map findings to the relevant control requirements.
