Microsoft Defender Suite Services in UAE
What Is the Microsoft Defender Suite?
The Microsoft Defender suite is a family of products protecting different parts of the estate: Defender for Endpoint for devices, Defender for Office 365 for email and collaboration, Defender for Identity for on-premises Active Directory, Defender for Cloud Apps for SaaS, and Defender for Cloud for Azure and multi-cloud workloads.
Each can be licensed and deployed individually, which is how most organisations start. Each also has distinct deployment requirements, policy models and tuning needs, and several are commonly left partially configured.
Our work covers individual product deployment as well as bringing them together under Defender XDR for correlated detection and automated response.
Defender Challenges We Solve
Products owned but not deployed
Defender for Identity sensors never installed, Cloud Apps never connected, Office 365 policies never built.
Default policies left in place
Preset security policies applied to nobody, or standard protection where strict was needed.
Performance and compatibility issues
Poorly scoped exclusions causing either application problems or permanent security blind spots.
Coverage gaps across platforms
Linux servers, macOS devices and mobile endpoints left outside Defender coverage.
No tuning after rollout
Alert volumes never reviewed, so analysts stop trusting the product within months.
Our Defender Suite Services
Defender for Endpoint
Onboarding across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android with ASR rules and EDR in block mode.
Defender for Office 365
Preset policies, Safe Links and Attachments, impersonation protection and attack simulation training.
Defender for Identity
Domain controller sensors detecting reconnaissance, Kerberos attacks and lateral movement.
Defender for Cloud Apps
SaaS discovery, app governance, session policies and shadow IT control.
Defender for Cloud
CSPM and workload protection for Azure, AWS and GCP resources.
Defender Vulnerability Management
Device vulnerability assessment with risk-based remediation workflows.
Policy Tuning & Exclusion Governance
Documented, reviewed exclusions and tuned alert policies that keep protection strong.
Unification under Defender XDR
Bring every product into one correlated incident queue with automated response.
Our Defender Suite Approach
1. Licence & Gap Review
Determine which Defender products you are entitled to and which are actually deployed.
2. Deploy by Product
Phased rollout per workload with pilot groups and compatibility validation.
3. Tune
Policy refinement, exclusion governance and alert volume reduction.
4. Unify & Operate
Correlate under Defender XDR and monitor from our SOC or hand over with documentation.
Why Choose Skytech for Microsoft Defender?
Skytech Cyber Cloud deploys and operates the Defender suite daily through our managed services, so our configurations reflect what works in production. Our engineers hold SC-200, MS-500 and AZ-500 certifications and serve clients across the UAE and GCC.
- Whole-suite view: we deploy what you own rather than one product in isolation.
- Mixed-platform coverage: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android onboarded consistently.
- Disciplined exclusions: every exclusion justified, documented and reviewed.
- Managed option: 24/7 monitoring of Defender alerts from our Dubai SOC.

Defender Suite FAQs
What is the difference between Defender for Endpoint P1 and P2?
P1, included in Microsoft 365 E3, provides next-generation antivirus, attack surface reduction and manual response actions. P2, included in E5, adds endpoint detection and response, automated investigation, threat and vulnerability management and threat hunting.
Do we need Defender for Identity if we have Entra ID Protection?
They cover different ground. Entra ID Protection detects risky cloud sign-ins and identities. Defender for Identity monitors on-premises Active Directory for reconnaissance, Kerberos attacks and lateral movement. Hybrid organisations generally need both.
Does Defender protect Linux and macOS?
Yes. Defender for Endpoint supports Windows, Windows Server, macOS, major Linux distributions, iOS and Android. We onboard each platform with policies appropriate to it rather than applying Windows settings everywhere.
Can Defender replace our current antivirus?
For most organisations yes. Defender for Endpoint consistently performs at or near the top of independent tests. We run it in passive mode alongside the incumbent first, compare detections, then switch over once confidence is established.
How do you handle exclusions safely?
Every exclusion is justified in writing, scoped as narrowly as possible, applied to specific device groups rather than tenant-wide, documented with an owner and reviewed periodically. Broad undocumented exclusions are a common cause of missed detections.
How long does suite deployment take?
A single product such as Defender for Endpoint takes 2 to 4 weeks. Deploying and tuning the full suite across endpoint, email, identity and cloud apps typically takes 2 to 3 months.
