Vulnerability Management in UAE
What Is Vulnerability Management?
Vulnerability management is the continuous process of discovering assets, identifying security weaknesses in systems, applications and cloud services, prioritising them by risk and ensuring they are fixed. It differs from a one-off vulnerability assessment by running as an ongoing programme with metrics and accountability.
Most breaches exploit known, unpatched vulnerabilities. UAE frameworks reflect this: NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR and CBUAE require regular scanning and timely patching, PCI DSS v4 mandates quarterly scans and risk-ranked remediation, and ISO 27001:2022 includes technical vulnerability management as a core control.
Our managed service combines leading scanning platforms with analyst review, threat intelligence and remediation tracking from our SOC in Dubai.
Vulnerability Challenges We Solve
Thousands of findings, no priorities
Scanner reports list everything as critical and IT teams cannot tell what to fix first.
Unknown assets
Shadow IT, cloud workloads and forgotten servers never get scanned.
Patching never completes
Findings are reported but ownership, deadlines and verification are missing.
Audit and compliance gaps
Regulators and QSAs want quarterly evidence and remediation SLAs you cannot produce.
Legacy and OT systems
Systems that cannot be patched need compensating controls, not another scan report.
Our Vulnerability Management Services
Asset Discovery & Attack Surface Mapping
Continuous discovery of on-premises, cloud, SaaS and internet-facing assets.
Continuous Vulnerability Scanning
Authenticated internal, external, cloud and web application scanning with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 or Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management.
Risk-Based Prioritisation
Rank findings by exploitation in the wild, asset criticality and exposure, not CVSS alone.
Remediation Coordination & Tracking
Tickets, owners, SLAs and verification scans so fixes actually land.
Patch Management Support
Patch strategy, testing and deployment support for Windows, Linux, network devices and third-party software.
Configuration & Cloud Posture Assessment
CIS benchmark and cloud misconfiguration checks across Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365.
Compensating Controls for Legacy & OT
Segmentation, virtual patching and monitoring where patching is not possible.
Compliance Reporting
Quarterly and on-demand reports for NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR, CBUAE, PCI DSS and ISO 27001.
Our Programme Approach
1. Discover
Build and maintain a complete asset inventory across every environment.
2. Assess
Scheduled and continuous scanning with analyst validation of results.
3. Prioritise & Remediate
Risk-ranked findings assigned, tracked and verified against SLAs.
4. Report & Improve
Trend metrics, compliance evidence and quarterly programme reviews.
Why Choose Skytech for Vulnerability Management?
Skytech Cyber Cloud’s vulnerability management service is operated from our SOC in Dubai by analysts who also see which vulnerabilities are actually exploited in regional incidents. We support banks, government entities, healthcare, retail and enterprise clients across the UAE and GCC with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 and Microsoft Defender platforms.
- Risk-based, not list-based: focus effort on what attackers actually use.
- Remediation ownership: we drive fixes to completion, not just reports.
- Compliance-ready: evidence formatted for NESA, DESC ISR, CBUAE, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 audits.
- Integrated: findings feed our MDR detections and threat intelligence.

Vulnerability Management FAQs
What is the difference between a vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management?
A vulnerability assessment is a point-in-time scan and report. Vulnerability management is an ongoing programme that continuously discovers assets, scans, prioritises, tracks remediation and measures improvement over time.
How often should we scan?
Internet-facing and critical systems should be scanned continuously or at least weekly, internal systems at least monthly, and PCI DSS requires quarterly scans plus scans after significant changes. We tailor frequency to your regulatory requirements and risk.
Which scanning platforms do you use?
Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 and Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management, plus specialist tools for web applications, cloud posture and OT. We can operate your existing licences or provide ours.
Do you fix the vulnerabilities or just report them?
We coordinate and track remediation with your IT teams, provide patching guidance and can deliver patching and configuration changes through our engineering team if you need hands-on help.
How do you handle systems that cannot be patched?
We design compensating controls such as network segmentation, virtual patching through IPS or WAF, hardening and enhanced monitoring, and document the risk acceptance for auditors.
Does this service satisfy PCI DSS and NESA scanning requirements?
Yes. Our reports and processes are designed to evidence PCI DSS v4 quarterly scanning and remediation, NESA/UAE IA and DESC ISR vulnerability management controls, CBUAE requirements and ISO 27001:2022 control 8.8.
