Extended Detection & Response (XDR) in UAE
What Is XDR?
Extended detection and response (XDR) unifies telemetry from endpoints, identity systems, email, cloud workloads and network sensors into a single platform that automatically correlates alerts into incidents, prioritises them and enables rapid, coordinated response.
Where EDR sees only the device, XDR connects a phishing email to the credential it stole, the login it enabled and the lateral movement that followed. For UAE organisations facing NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR and CBUAE monitoring requirements, XDR delivers faster detection with fewer analysts.
Our XDR services cover platform selection, deployment, integration with SIEM, detection tuning and fully managed XDR operations from our SOC in Dubai.
Detection Challenges We Solve
Siloed security tools
EDR, email, identity and cloud alerts live in separate consoles, so multi-stage attacks are never connected.
Slow investigations
Analysts pivot between tools for hours to answer simple questions about scope and impact.
Alert fatigue
Thousands of low-context alerts bury the handful that matter.
Limited security staff
Small teams cannot monitor 24/7 or keep detection content current.
Regulatory monitoring requirements
NESA, DESC ISR and CBUAE expect continuous monitoring, incident detection and documented response.

2. Deploy & Connect
Roll out sensors and connectors across endpoints, identity, email, cloud and network.
3. Tune & Automate
Detection tuning, incident correlation rules and automated response playbooks.
4. Operate
Managed or co-managed 24/7 operations with monthly reporting and continuous improvement.

XDR UAE FAQs
What is the difference between EDR, XDR and SIEM?
EDR protects and monitors endpoints. XDR extends that to identity, email, cloud and network with automatic correlation and response. SIEM collects logs from every source for compliance, long-term retention and custom analytics. Most mature organisations use XDR for fast detection and response and SIEM for breadth and compliance.
Is Microsoft Defender XDR enough for a UAE organisation?
For organisations standardised on Microsoft 365 E5, Defender XDR with Sentinel provides very strong coverage. Organisations with significant non-Microsoft infrastructure, OT or multi-cloud estates may benefit from Cortex, CrowdStrike or SentinelOne. We assess and advise objectively.
Do you offer managed XDR?
Yes. Our managed XDR / MDR service provides 24/7 monitoring, threat hunting, containment and reporting from our SOC in Dubai, either fully managed or co-managed with your team.
How quickly can XDR be deployed?
Microsoft Defender XDR can be enabled across an existing E5 tenant in 2 to 4 weeks. Third-party XDR rollouts typically take 4 to 8 weeks depending on agent deployment and integrations.
Does XDR replace our SIEM?
Not usually. XDR accelerates detection and response, while SIEM remains important for compliance logging, non-security data and long-term retention required by UAE regulators. We integrate the two.
Can XDR help with NESA or CBUAE compliance?
Yes. XDR provides the continuous monitoring, incident detection, response records and reporting that NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR and CBUAE regulations require.
