Social Engineering & Phishing Simulation in UAE
What Is Social Engineering Testing?
Social engineering testing is the controlled simulation of attacks that target people rather than technology: phishing emails, phone calls impersonating IT or finance, SMS and WhatsApp lures, malicious USB drops and physical attempts to enter buildings and restricted areas.
It measures three things that matter: how many people fall for the approach, how many report it, and whether your processes, such as payment verification or helpdesk identity checks, prevent the attack even when an individual is fooled.
In the UAE, business email compromise and invoice fraud remain among the costliest cyber incidents, and NESA/UAE IA, DESC ISR, CBUAE and ISO 27001 all expect awareness programmes backed by testing.
Human Risk Challenges We Solve
Generic phishing tests
Templates obviously written for another market that staff spot instantly and learn nothing from.
Low reporting rates
Staff may not click, but they do not report either, so the SOC never learns an attack is underway.
Finance process gaps
A convincing call or email changes supplier bank details with no verification step.
Helpdesk identity verification
Attackers reset passwords and MFA by phone because the helpdesk has no reliable identity check.
Physical access assumptions
Reception, tailgating and unattended network ports are assumed safe but never tested.
Our Social Engineering Services
Targeted Spear Phishing Campaigns
Realistic, UAE-localised emails in Arabic and English based on your actual suppliers, systems and events.
Vishing (Voice Phishing)
Phone-based pretexting against helpdesk, finance and staff to test identity verification processes.
Smishing & Messaging Attacks
SMS and WhatsApp lures reflecting the mobile-first habits of UAE users.
Business Email Compromise Simulation
Executive and supplier impersonation targeting payment and approval workflows.
Physical Intrusion Testing
Tailgating, badge cloning, reception bypass and access to restricted rooms and network ports.
USB Drop & Media Attacks
Controlled removable media campaigns measuring who connects and executes unknown devices.
Reporting Rate & Response Measurement
Measure not just clicks but how quickly staff report and how fast the SOC reacts.
Follow-Up Training & Programme Design
Immediate micro-training for those who fall for it and a 12-month awareness programme.
Our Testing Process
1. Scope & Authorise
Agree targets, pretexts, legal authorisation, safety limits and escalation contacts.
2. Reconnaissance
Open-source research on staff, suppliers, systems and events to craft believable pretexts.
3. Execute
Run campaigns and attempts with careful monitoring and immediate stop capability.
4. Report & Train
Click, submit and report rates by department, process failures and targeted training.
Why Choose Skytech for Social Engineering Testing?

Social Engineering FAQs
Is social engineering testing legal in the UAE?
Yes, when properly authorised. We operate under a written authorisation letter signed by your organisation defining scope, targets and limits, comply with UAE law and the PDPL in how we handle staff data, and never use techniques that would cause harm or distress.
Will results be used against individual employees?
No. We report results by department and campaign rather than naming individuals for disciplinary purposes. The goal is to improve awareness and processes, and punitive use reduces reporting, which is the behaviour you most want to encourage.
Do you run campaigns in Arabic?
Yes. Our phishing templates, SMS lures and vishing calls are delivered in Arabic and English by native speakers, which makes them far more realistic for UAE workforces.
What is a good click rate?
Untested organisations commonly see 20 to 30 percent click rates. After a structured programme, 5 percent or below is achievable. More important is the report rate: mature organisations see over half of recipients reporting a suspicious email quickly.
Do you test physical security too?
Yes. Physical intrusion testing covers tailgating, reception pretexts, badge cloning, access to restricted areas and connecting to unattended network ports, either standalone or as part of a red team engagement.
How often should we run phishing simulations?
Quarterly at minimum, ideally a short monthly campaign with varied themes and difficulty. One annual test produces a number but does not change behaviour.
